It is a perfect landscape, it is the archetype of the country landscape, as well-structured as a parlour game but that however seems to hide a latent wilderness.

The roads and paths gently wind their way down to the bottom of the Loire valley, at the same time as the hill, in the shape of large Z.The hedges that are locally named “ pissises” split the meadows where some herds of Charolais cows fatten up, soon ready for the slaughterhouse.

Here, right in the middle of this green landscape live some people who under an obvious simplicity reveal an unsuspected and unexpected energy and will. They knew how to preserve the nature, the jewels of the Romanesque art such as churches and chapels, and the traditional markets. They take the time to live listen, laugh and eat.

The nature is not a hobby to be practised on Sunday, it is their choice and way of life that they are eager to make you share.
